The minimum requirement is 13, which is the same requirement as creating a LiveJournal account due to COPPA regulations. That said, the community's rating is BBC-15, which, while similar in some ways to other ratings (like PG-13 in the US), does differ a bit, and everyone should consider that in making a decision about whether the community will be right for them.
